Rice is our staple food. About half the world's population lives on rice. The farmer first planted very well.
Then they sow the seed. Within a few days, the seeds appear. About two months later, the paddy ears come out.
After three months more, the paddy is ripe. Then we take out the paddy and get some rice. Rice is found all over the world. It grows very well in Bangladesh, Pakistan, Burma, India, China, Japan, Thailand, etc. There are varieties of rice in our country Aus, Aman, and boro. There is another type of rice - called 'IRRI' which grows well in Bangladesh.
Rice is a major Bangladeshi plant. We eat rice. Chira, Khai, cake, etc. they are made with rice and we eat that as food.
Its grass is used as fuel for making poor people's huts. It is also used to make fabrics for paper and wine. Since rice is our main food, so we must take proper care of its production.
